Ikigai describes the Japanese concept of finding a purpose that can lead to a contended life. To research the book, the authors interviewed residents of a village in Japan with the highest number of 100-year-olds. 


Ikigai- A Reason for Living


In the book, the authors dive into their secrets to happiness and longevity. The term Ikigai essentially means the reason for living. Hence, having a sense of ikigai or what one loves, what a person is good at, what one can get paid for and what the world requires can overlap to provide a sense of fulfilment to an individual.
