1. A plastic Comb
2. A Water Tap
Directions
1. Run the plastic comb through your hair continuously for some time.
2. Now, open the tap and take the comb close to the water.
3. You will see that the water bends towards the comb.
How does this work?
When you comb your hair, the teeth of the comb gathers charge with static energy. On bringing the comb close to the flowing water, the oppositely charged water molecules gets attracted towards the charge present in the comb, resulting in the water bending towards the comb.
